When it’s used to describe people you’re romantically involved with. When I hear the word “partner” I think about a lab partner or someone you do business with.
Plus I feel like we’re regressing a bit when fellow people from the LGBT community use it. If we’re really striving for equality why do we have to sugarcoat our pronouns for everyone? And it makes me feel that we’re not comfortable enough with ourselves to use specific pronouns.
I was just informed about the site gayorbitz.com. It’s great because it gives you gay friendly resorts around the world. And it’s funny because I’ve never knew gay travel and gay vacation were a thing (didn’t know our travel had a different category name). I also died when I saw the “Orbitz Q & Gay.”
